Elmhurst Baptist Church has been serving the community in ministry since 1900. It is a warm congregation with a long history, and vibrant present.
What to Expect
As you enter Elmhurst Baptist Church, one of our friendly ushers and greeters will welcome you and give you a bulletin to guide you through the service.
Since we are multi-ethnic and multi-generational church there are various styles in our worship service. Some wear their traditional “Sunday-best” formal attire, others dress more casually. This is a place that we hold sacred, so dress however you feel is respectful of that. Having said that, we believe God cares more for the style of our hearts and lives than our attire. So feel free to dress as you see appropriate to worship and fellowship together.
After worship service, there is coffee, food, and other refreshments in the Fellowship Hall provided so that we can fellowship together. This is a great time for us to get to know you and for you to know the members of our community. You are always welcome.
Our Purpose
We as Christ-followers seek to glorify God in a contemporary and progressive fellowship dedicated to engage the gospel of Jesus Christ in the world through a multi-ethnic Church.
OUR COVENANT
Believing in God the Father and having accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior, through the leading of the Holy Spirit, we do now most sincerely and joyously enter into this covenant with one another.
We Promise, with the aid of the Holy Spirit, to endeavor to cooperate in Christian love, to strive for the advancement of this Church, to maintain its worship, ordinances, discipline and doctrine, to contribute cheerfully and regularly to its current expenses, to its benevolences and to the spreading of the principles of Jesus Christ throughout the world.
We also promise to endeavor to base our personal conduct on the teaching and example of our Lord Jesus Christ; to seek to instill His principles into the lives of our children, of our friends and our acquaintances.
We also promise that if we remove from this place we will unite with some other Church as soon as possible.
